MIG Flash | V2 Cartridge

MIG Flash | Dumper

Firmware 1.1.8 fixes an issue in Mig Dumper where dumping certain GameCard types would stop early and drop to zero transfer speed.
More is in the works, but we wanted to push this little update as we had several users with that issue that were stuck backing up some of their beloved games!
Click here to download the latest firmware.

Additionally, starting from firmware 1.1.7, the Mig Dumper will show the firmware version as a file ('1.1.7') in the GameCard root folder to easily see what firmware version is running.
To help with updating Mig Dumper for all users, we also present a new tool called: migupdater.
MigUpdater is a desktop application for Windows, Mac, and Linux to easily check and update the Mig Dumper firmware version.
This is a handy fallback method if the drag-and-drop method does not work.
Check it out in the Downloads & Instructions section.

One of the most exciting announcements in the trailer is that the new Nintendo Switch 2 will support a large quantity of original Nintendo Switch cartridges.
This backward compatibility ensures that players can continue to enjoy their existing library of games on the next-generation console.
Nintendo has stated that they are set to announce more details regarding the backwards compatibility in the beginning of April.

On a side note, we had hundreds of email requests about the Mig Card V1 (the model without the switch to go from one game to the next/previous) on how to turn your V1 card into a V2 card.
Although we don't recommend this modification, if you are electronically skilled AND are accepting the risk of losing your Mig Card V1, you can find HERE A DIY GUIDE made by a Mig user which we think is the best one we had so far for converting a Mig Card V1 to V2.
We repeat it again: Do it at your own risks!
Today, we bring you a hardware update to the Mig Flash card, for which we had regular requests.
Mig Flash case V2 is currently the default set being sent for all new orders. It features a clip-on case with a modified game switch button that seems to be more convenient to use without ejecting the Mig Flash. Remember, we recommend to always close the game card slot to operate.
Because some of us at Mig like the more sturdy screw design, it will still be available for distributors, so you can choose the case you prefer.
We wish you all a happy holiday season, and for those of you who still don't own a Mig Flash Card and/or Dumper, we hope Santa will think about you on Christmas' night!

Firmware 1.1.6 fixes this, but users with this problem are not able to update firmware because the drive is not online.
To solve this we recommend a few options:
- Borrow an older Windows system from a friend to update Mig Dumper to firmware 1.1.6, or
- Download a Windows 10 ISO and create a Windows To Go USB stick with Rufus, then boot into Windows To Go and perform the firmware update, or
- Download a Linux ISO to launch a Live Boot system to perform the firmware update
Our sincere apologies to all users affected. Rest assured we will always offer 100% support for our products for the years to come.
We have not seen a single ban yet when using 100% complete gamecard dumps with all BIN files and XCI coming from the same gamecard.
Additionally, turning off the Switch console WiFi does not erase any activity with incomplete dumps.
All offline activity on the console is saved and WILL be transmitted next time WiFi is enabled on the console again.
Keep this information in mind, and NEVER use dumps that are incomplete to avoid console bans.
Change log:
- Fixed issue in Mig Dumper when drive could end up suddenly disconnected at some rare occasions.
For some reason, the word 'Switch' now can't be used without the consent from the company Nintendo©. Even if it is just to explain a product is made for (or compatible with) a device made by another company.
To us, it is scandalous. But that is the way it is, and although we are not located in the USA, since they seem to control ICANN and a few other institutions we need to operate with, we decided to change our name to Mig Flash.
Please note there is no other change besides this cosmetic one. The product is the same and works the same, new or old.
Sorry about this, and we will keep bringing you good surprises in the future.
First and most important: We are operating as usual. We are shipping our products. All orders are being fulfilled and nothing has changed beside the domain name.
We are shocked by what happened for several reasons, and we feel this is not only shocking for us but for the freedom of the Internet in general.
First, we were not warned or had a chance to answer and defend our products or at least explain that whatever the complaint is, it applies only to a few countries and in no way allows taking down a domain for all users in the world.
P.S.: If you are not able to access this website, we will post news and updates on our .onion website accessible by TOR :

We purposely use a thin button because, as shown in the video, it is meant to be used with the game card slot cover closed.
We think it is more convenient, and since you don't really need to open it once your games are on the Mig microSD, it is just cleaner and looks better.
Of course, you can also use it with the game card slot cover opened.
But if you want to have the games sorted alphabetically, head to our Q&A section; we explain how.
Also, on V2, remember that a quick push takes you to the next game, and a long push takes you to the previous game for easy navigation.
Mig Flash Card “V2”, our first hardware revision, is now in production and replacing the original “V1”. From now on, we are manufacturing only this new version, which now features a game-changing switch/button.
A quick press of the button will take you to the next game on your microSD, and a long push to the previous one.
Because your requests were unanimous, we decided to discontinue “V1”, so any new or pending orders will now receive this new version.
“V1” owners don't need to worry; their card will be updated exactly like the “V2” and will have the same new features as “V2” coming with future updates. Only the game-switching method will be different.
Samples are underway to reviewers, and you will see the first independent reviews next week.
But stay tuned, as this Saturday, we will have an official announcement for our most requested update that is finally coming soon.
- Implemented cherrypicked improvements from the latest nxdumptool revision.
- Fixed dump path generation for multi-title game cards.
- Improved sleep mode support
- Improved boot-up of the microSD card
We are always happy to receive suggestions and bug reports from Mig users, so do not hesitate to contact us if you think something can be improved!
Version 1.0.8 is already included in retail units of Mig Flash Cart and Dumper, so this is for review and testing units only!
This applies to online play too. If you want to play online with the full Mig Flash warranty, you need to use your own dumped backups with genuine Certificate, UID, and Card Set ID.
Failure to respect this rule may result in bans from Nintendo© online service, for which we cannot be held responsible.
